It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Indiana Wesleyan University School of Health Sciences web site. We have embarked upon a journey to respond to a need in health care. “Americans’ access to quality health care … is at risk because of critical shortages in the health care workforce – a problem that cuts across the entire spectrum from nurses to primary care physicians to highly trained surgeons” (American College of Surgeons). Indiana Wesleyan University leaders have taken notice of our health professions strengths and foundation established in recent years and decided we are ready to respond to the critical shortages in the health care workforce locally, in Indiana, the mid-west, nationally, and internationally.
Our university is committed to the cause of improving the health of people by providing a Christ-centered faculty devoted to providing high quality learning opportunities for students and health care professionals; advancing knowledge through scholarship, research, and evidence based practice; and serving our communities with competent and compassionate patient care and servant leadership.
We are pleased to welcome you and show you what we are doing to advance the state of knowledge in the health sciences, to prepare health professionals to care for patients, and to transform the lives of our students of many ages and diverse backgrounds, who have made the commitment to serve others.
Thank you for your interest in the new School of Health Sciences at Indiana Wesleyan University.
